A) Knowing the traditional settlement (Chora) of Skyros

Pick up from your place at 09.45, driving up to Skyros main town. There we will reach the traditional settlement of Skyros with its beautiful alleys, the well preserved small shops and cafes. We will visit the monastery which is on the top of the main town with its one and only monk. After this we will enjoy the excellent view towards the most visited area of Skyros, called “Magazia” from Rubert Brooke’s square. Going forward we will explore the folkloric museum of Skyros as well as the archeological museum which are very close to each other. Later we will have some free time in the town to enjoy a cold beer or a snack. You will be back to your place around 15.00.

B) The lush vegetation of Skyros

Pick up from your place at 09.45 and drive towards the north side of the island. The green of the place will blow our mind away. We will visit untouched bays like Kyra Panagia, Atsitsa, Aghios Fokas, and Pefkos. Short stops to enjoy the view or a picturesque landscape are into the program. Finally we will find ourselves one step away from a stunning beach to enjoy good-tasting, local food and the crystal clear water until late in the afternoon. Later on, the road will lead us to the well-preserved, main port of Skyros to enjoy a stroll around the various cafes. A last visit worths to be given to a private farm where the Skyrian horses are raised, one of the rarest and oldest horse breeds in the world, existing on the earth the last 2000 years.

C) Getting lost and feeling more than alive on the South of the island

Pick up from your place at 09.45, direction South. Our first stop is the traditional woodcarving where we will see how the wooden Skyrian tables and objects are made, using a technique taught through generations. Later, we will visit a pottery workshop in the area of Aspous where we will also practice the art of a Skyrian ceramist. Whatever we create with our own hands we will take with us as a souvenir! Afterwards we proceed our way to the South. The landscape is wild but breathtaking, a place where the art of balancing stones is a must!. We will arrive up to where the street leads us to the magical Aegean view, which will remain forever in our memory. As a last stop it will be a wine taste in our local winery where we will taste good local wine and some snacks too.

D) The bucolic Skyros
